The Detroit Lions play against the San Francisco 49ers in a few hours and they have made multiple roster moves ahead of the game to make sure that they have their best situation on the field. Here's what the Lions did:

Activated Jalen Reeves-Maybin

Right off the bat, there's some big news. The Lions are getting back one of their key players for this one. Reeves-Maybin is the best special teams player in the NFL and he plays pretty well on defense too. He has now been activated and is expected to be active Monday night.

Elevated Jeramar Jefferson from practice squad

Last week we got to see Jefferson play a regular season game for the first time since 2021 and he got in a nice 10-yard catch for a first down. Maybe we'll see him play a little bit more on Monday night. This is Jahmyr Gibbs' show and Sion Vaki and Craig Reynolds will get carries too, but maybe Jefferson will get a shot to make a play.

Elevated Chris Smith from practice squad

The Lions love this lunch pail guy. This will be his third elevation of the year, but he's also been signed to the 53-man roster twice. The Lions have never really used him much in any of the games he's been active in, maybe that changes Monday night.
