Despite hitting the 90-man roster limit on Sunday, the Lions still kept signing undrafted players. They're sitting at 91 players as of this article on Monday morning. That means that someone could be reelased relatively soon. Here's a few guys that come to mind right now.

WR Ronnie Bell

With the Lions drafting Isaac TeSlaa, Dominic Lovett, and then signing Jackson Meeks, it's really hard to see how Bell could fit in. It's hard because the Lions haven't seen him in their building and their offense yet, but you have to go with the younger guys here.

DL Chris Smith

The coaching staff loves this guy because he's a lunch-pail dude who just does whatever they ask him to do, but at the end of the day, when I went through every single defensive lineman, it was hard to find one who didn't have a big upside that I think the Lions want to see more of. That puts those guys ahead of Smith.

S Erik Hallett

The Lions signed and cut Hallett multiple times during the 2024 season. With Dan Jackson, Morcie Norris, and Loren Strickland battling it out for that fourth spot, it's hard to see Hallett having a chance.

OL Colby Sorsdal

The Lions have 17 offensive linemen right now. That is a ton of guys, and only nine or 10 of them are going to have a chance to make the roster. Sorsdal has struggled in his first two seasons, and you could see him getting another shot, but you can also see how the Lions might want to shift their efforts more towards getting Giovanni Manu ready.
