The Indianapolis Colts (3-5) are on the road this week to take on the Carolina Panthers (1-6) for their Week 9 matchup.

Panthers inactive:  

The Panthers will be without starting safety Vonn Bell again this week. They will also be without veteran outside linebacker Justin Houston, who was placed on IR this past week. The team will be starting rookie DJ Johnson out of Oregon in place of Houston. 

Colts inactives:

The Colts will be without the NFL's tackle leader Zaire Franklin, who is missing the first game of his NFL career today. Franklin's absence is a massive hiut to the teams already hurting run defense. The team will look to Shaquille Leonard and EJ Speed to step up in Franklin's absence. It felt like things were progressing towards rookie Ameer Speed making his Colts debut this week, but he ends up inactive yet again. Meaning the Colts will be relying on the same CB room that struggled last week.
