Chiefs' defense takes another hit as Juan Thornhill is on his way out
The Chiefs just keep taking a hit with one particular unit during free agency.
The Kansas City Chiefs seem to keep losing key player after key player during free agency, as other teams can simply just pay them more than the Chiefs can, especially with what Kansas City is trying to accomplish this offseason.
Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the former Chiefs safety Juan Thornhill is signing a deal with the Cleveland Browns for a three-years, $21 million contract with $14 million fully guaranteed at signing over the first two years.
The Chiefs will now likely have Bryan Cook starting, and pursue another safety, or two, in the draft, if not in free agency.
Now Clark, Thornhill, Saunders, Smith-Schuster, and Andrew Wylie are all going to be on different teams, and all either started or played a critical role on the Super Bowl team.
