Kansas City Chiefs players will report to the team’s 2025 NFL training camp at the Missouri Western State University campus in St. Joseph, Missouri, beginning Sunday, July 20

This marks the 15th season the organization will head to St. Joe for training camp. Unlike previous years, Chiefs veterans and rookies will all report to camp at the same time. Typically, quarterbacks, rookies, and injured players would be allotted a three-day head start at training camp, but Andy Reid opted against it this year.

Practices won't begin to open to the public until Wednesday, July 23, after a season ticket member day on Tuesday, July 22. In the meantime, players will undergo physical examinations, conditioning tests, closed practices, and team meetings as the newest players get acclimated to life at NFL training camp.

A few things to keep an eye on as Chiefs' 2025 training camp begins

Chiefs HC Andy Reid will address media members at approximately 4:55 p.m. CT on Sunday, July 20. He'll be able to provide some updates on players heading into training camp, but might not have all the details yet on injured players and who might be starting out camp on any of the active reserve lists (PUP, NFI, etc.). One player we're keeping an eye on for the PUP list is second-year TE Jared Wiley, but it's likely that some others will join him as there are always a few surprises. The decisions on reserve lists will be made after the team holds its conditioning test.

Next up, the Chiefs have a free spot on the 90-man offseason roster after releasing WR Justyn Ross. It's unclear where they'll look to make additions to the roster at this time, but with a suspension now likely for Rashee Rice, they could undoubtedly use another body in the wide receiver room. They could also go another direction and make an addition to the interior defensive line.

Speaking of Rice, he'll still be able to participate in training camp and team meetings once the league hands down his suspension. Andy Reid will likely discuss the situation with Rice for the first time since the third-year receiver's sentencing for the 2024 Dallas crash.
