This news comes after reports that second-year OT Esa Pole and rookie OT Kahlil Benson have taken first- and second-team repetitions at right tackle during OTAs and mandatory minicamp.

Chiefs exploring Wanya Morris trade as Rams face OT need after Alaric Jackson arrest
Rams starting LT Alaric Jackson was recently arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery, suddenly exposing an already-thin Los Angeles offensive tackle room. It’s unclear if the NFL will suspend him or put him on the Commissioner’s exempt list. However, LA now has a need for contingencies.
Morris could fit that need with experience at both left and right tackle. He hasn’t been a superstar during his time in Kansas City, but working with a new coaching staff could be exactly what he needs to unlock his potential.
Chiefs GM Brett Veach and Rams GM Les Snead just completed a March blockbuster trade that sent Trent McDuffie to Los Angeles, returning multiple draft picks to Kansas City.
What would a deal for Morris look like? He’s on an expiring contract and would cost the Chiefs roughly $226K in dead money to move, with $1.4 million in cap savings. The minimum you’d likely fetch is a late Day 3 pick in 2027 or 2028. The Rams seem comfortable trading away picks, so that’s the likely target if you’re doing a deal with Los Angeles. If you’re looking into the player-for-player market, perhaps you can swap him for another player on an expiring contract. That might be a tougher sell for Kansas City after a quick look at the Rams’ roster.
