The Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders somewhat renewed their rivalry last season, as did the Chiefs and the Denver Broncos. The Chiefs were on a winning streak against both teams, and both teams got a win over the Chiefs last year.

Fortunately for the Chiefs, they got the last laugh by winning the Super Bowl and doing so in the Raiders home stadium. But, one of the biggest things for fans of football and the fans of the AFC West, is that the rivalry is back. Now, you cannot go into a season thinking the Chiefs are going to win both games against the Raiders, because they have some grit and talent, as we saw on Christmas Day.

But, the Chiefs got better this offseason, as did the Raiders. The Chiefs added more weapons for Patrick Mahomes to throw to. Last season the offense was bad, and they still dropped 30 points on the Raiders in Las Vegas. Now that they have Hollywood Brown, Rashee Rice, Travis Kelce, and Xavier Worthy, it could get scary.

As for the Chiefs rookies, specifically their first-round pick – Xavier Worthy has the ultimate dunk on the Raiders in his back pocket already, and he hasn't even played them yet.

Let's start with when Worthy was born – April 27, 2003. Since Worthy has been alive, the Las Vegas Raiders, or Oakland Raiders, too, have not won a playoff game. Their last playoff win was on January 19, 2003, when they advanced to the Super Bowl.

That is the ultimate dunk, as Worthy can say the Raiders have not been relevant since before he was born. In all seriousness, the rivalry is restored, and these two teams should but heads in 2024. Hopefully, we see Worthy making some big plays against the Raiders, too.
