One of the big Miami Dolphins 2026 schedule rumors falls flat as a full block of games for this season in revealed
The Miami Dolphins have long been tied to a potential international game in 2026. Turns out they’re not making the trip.
The Miami Dolphins‘ schedule will be revealed tomorrow, along with every other game for the 2026 season.
It marks the latest exciting next step for the return of football. And it also affords fans the chance to start planning their own schedules. Getting out to the game doesn’t happen on its own. But for Miami Dolphins fans in some parts of the world, that can be easier said than done. The NFL has been keen on growing the game internationally and, accordingly, there will be 9 international games this upcoming season.
Despite the buzz that the Miami Dolphins could be included, it turns out that’s not the case in 2026.
Miami Dolphins’ Mexico City rumor falls flat as 2026 international series is revealed
The Dolphins had been rumored for months to be the selection to head to Mexico City and square off against the San Francisco 49ers. But the official league release has the Minnesota Vikings tabbed as the 49ers’ opposition.
That leaves Miami, just one year removed from playing in Spain against the Washington Commanders, set for no international appearances for just the second time since 2022. The Dolphins played in Germany against the Chiefs in 2023 and the Commanders last season. You could technically include Miami’s January 2024 Wild Card game against the Chiefs as international given that it was played on the planet Hoth, but I digress.
If the Dolphins can successfully avoid an international game in 2027, too? That would be the real massive win — as it would align Miami to play nine games at Hard Rock Stadium. Miami last did that in 2021, when the league first expanded the schedule to 17 games. The Dolphins went 6-3 at home that season, winning their final six for the year. But for now, we’ll have to settle for nine road games, all played state-side.
