The skill player outlook changes dramatically for the Miami Dolphins in this way-too-early 2027 NFL mock draft
The Miami Dolphins’ skill player outlook gets a massive boost in ‘The Best Pod Available’ 3-round Miami Dolphins 2027 NFL mock draft.
The Miami Dolphins will have a tough time having their 2027 NFL Draft be as busy and frantic as the 2026 edition.
Miami made 13 draft picks this past April, signaling a new way of doing business in South Florida. But with a star-studded 2027 NFL Draft appearing to be waiting for the Dolphins and the rest of the league next spring, interest is already starting to pick up on what things will look like. A to Z Sports’ Ryan Roberts and Joe DeLeone recently did a 3-round 2027 Miami Dolphins way-too-early mock draft for ‘The Best Pod Available’. Their haul for the Dolphins? It dramatically changed the outlook of the skill group.
Best Pod Available’s Way-Too-Early 2027 Miami Dolphins Mock Draft
1st round – Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State
“I think that actually the more fascinating conversation of like the quarterback verse Jeremiah Smith thing is Jeremiah Smith plays a position at wide receiver that matters a whole lot more than it once did. But when we’re talking about the positional value conversation, the edge room is kind of interesting as well because Colin Simmons (Texas) and Dylan Stewart (South Carolina) were both obviously still there. So is there an edge that you say is just more important than a wide receiver? Like that would be an interesting conversation, but I again am fully on board with Jeremiah Smith being the pick at that spot.” — Ryan Roberts, A to Z Sports
2nd round – Will Echoles, DT, Ole Miss
“It kind of seems like the way that the Miami Dolphins drafted was in anticipation that they were going to lose Jordyn Brooks to some degree because they drafted Jacob Rodriguez and Kyle Lewis. So, you had an early pick on a guy that could start in the middle at Mike, and then you also took Kyle Louis. If you want, start him at Will or you want to start him at outside linebacker, right? I feel like linebacker might be off the table, but dude, I’m kind of staring at this Will Echoles pick and I’m thinking, man, that would be a that would be a real nice boost in the interior playing him…next to Kenneth Grant.” — Joe DeLeone, A to Z Sports
3rd round – DJ Vonnahme, TE, Iowa
“I think that he will be a massive riser. I would be surprised as a redshirt sophomore if he ends up being in this class and only being a third round pick…But I think that Vonnahme brings a whole lot to the table.” — Ryan Roberts, A to Z Sports
