The Minnesota Vikings take on the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon, and it’s shaping up to be a really interesting game.

We’ve been tracking whether or not wide receiver Justin Jefferson would end up playing on Sunday, as it’s a big game for him. He’s only been able to play in his home state of Louisiana one time, and it was during the COVID-19 season of 2020. This game is very important to him, and it’s not a surprise.

He isn’t the only wide receiver with question marks, as Jordan Addison is dealing with a hamstring injury as well. Those are huge for the Vikings, and it will make a big difference on Sunday.

How do the Vikings and Saints look going into the game on Sunday? Let’s break down the final injury reports.

Observations

  • Jefferson and Addison both being questionable is good news for Sunday, especially for the former, who was ruled out last Friday.
  • Darrisaw officially being ruled out isn’t much of a surprise at all. He will have three weeks minimum between games, which is a good thing.
  • Thorson coming back will be good. Johnny Hekker struggled over the last two weeks.

Observations

  • No Kaden Elliss is huge for the Vikings. He’s a critical part of their defense on the second level.
  • Both Shough and Olave having no status is a big deal. They will play a critical role in Sunday’s game.
