The New Orleans Saints impressive offensive outburst in Week 8 could be costly for an Indianapolis Colts player.
Colts cornerback Tony Brown struggled mightily against New Orleans. The Saints complete 7/7 passes when targeting Brown for 187 yards. It was clear that they saw him as a weakness in the secondary.
Brown who was filling in for injured starter JuJu Brents in Indy's secondary. Six of the completions against Brown went for first downs for the Saints.
On Monday, the Colts tried out five defensive backs after Brown got torched by the Saints.
For Indy, they hope that Brents can return sooner than later. Additionally, it will be intriguing to see if they sign one of these players to potentially take Brown's role.
Their defense has dealt with a plethora of injuries, and the secondary lacked depth to begin the season.
Now, the Saints may have exposed another one of their defensive backs in a major way.
