The New Orleans Saints have kicked off minicamp. There will be plenty of highlights this week, and they are excited to be back on the field once again. Today, there was a bit of a scare to one of their most explosive players on offense, though. Wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed left practice with an apparent groin injury.
Luckily, it sounds like something minor for the young weapon. Nick Underhill of NOFNetwork reports that Shaheed says he will take this week off, but he is "fine."
Being careful is very smart for the speedster at this point of the offseason. Everyone knows his physical abilities, so he should not push himself too far at the risk of further injury. Shaheed is much too important to the Saints WR corps for this year.
