Before kickoff, both teams have released their inactive players list for the game.
Here are the Saints players who will not be dressing for tonight’s game against the Falcons.
Saints Week 4 inactives vs. Falcons
- LB Kaden Elliss
- TE Noah Fant
- EDGE Carl Granderson
- EDGE Anferee Jennings
- DT Christen Miller
- CB Decamerion Richardson
- QB Zach Wilson
Ellis, Granderson, and Jennings were all declared out on Saturday by coach Kellen Moore. Elliss, who’s dealing with a calf injury, is an unfortunate loss as he would’ve had a revenge game opportunity. He spent the last three years playing in Atlanta.
Linebacker Pete Werner is active
Linebacker Pete Werner, despite not practicing all week with a shoulder injury, is a go for tonight’s game. Moore told reporters Saturday he’d be a game-time decision.
“We’ll give it a little bit of time. We obviously still have time ’til Monday night,” Moore said. “It’s the physical side of this thing, not the mental side.”
It’s a huge boost for the Saints as Falcons running back Bijan Robinson is on tap for New Orleans’ defense to contain. Not having Elliss is a bummer, but at least Werner will be in the fight.
Fant was the other game-time decision, and he will unfortunately be out with an abdomen injury.
