The New Orleans Saints will take on the Houston Texans tonight at 7 PM CST. This will open the preseason for both teams. One star for the Saints definitely won't be playing, but there's no need to panic.

Wide receiver Michael Thomas did not make the trip for Saturday night's game, according to Jeff Duncan.

There's no cause for concern with Thomas. Dennis Allen just doesn't want to take any chances with his health, and the wideout has looked phenomenal in training camp so far. There's no need for further risk for the top receiver for the Saints. It is more likely that he may play in one of the other preseason games for New Orleans.
