Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is quite familiar with New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll.

Daboll, who will coach against Hurts on Sunday afternoon, was Hurts' offensive coordinator in 2017 at Alabama.

And when Hurts was going through the predraft process a couple of years ago, Daboll, who was then the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills, spoke to Sirianni about the dynamic quarterback.

The specifics of the conversation have mostly been forgotten by Daboll, but he did remember one thing he told Sirianni about Hurts.

"I'm pretty sure I told Sirianni, that's one of the most competitive SOBs you'd ever want to meet," said Daboll to the NFL Network.

Hurts has been doubted plenty throughout his career. From getting benched at Alabama and transferring to Oklahoma to the questions he faced before getting drafted about whether or not he could be a quarterback in the NFL, there's been no shortage of doubt thrown in Hurts' direction.

But the Houston native has erased those doubts every step of the way. And now he's well on his way to winning the NFL MVP award this season.
