When cornerback James Bradberry hit the free agent market, he wasn't sure what would happen.

Sometimes uncertainty can run afoul in the NFL. But amidst the unknown of what was to come, Bradberry was sure of one thing — he wanted to return to the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I had a lot of uncertainty going into free agency. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be back or not, but I definitely wanted to come back and I’m glad it worked out this way because it’s a great situation here and I love being here,” he said.

What was endearing about the return to Philadelphia was the idea of running it back with Darius Slay. Bradberry spoke of the connection the two shared on the field and how well the two managed to balance each other's skill sets.

Additionally, Bradberry spoke of the familiarity among the coaches. He wasn't heading to a new situation with a new philosophy, instead, he gets to pick up where he left off in 2022.

Bradberry will play a pivotal role for the Eagles who are spring to return to the Super Bowl after almost beating the Kansas City Chiefs. Much of that return hinges on the play of Bradberry and his ability to anchor the DB room moving forward.
