Tom Brady’s slap of WWE star Logan Paul just sent their simmering beef through the roof
The future Hall of Famer went viral on Friday on social media after smacking Paul.
Former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is gearing up for another season of NFL football. But, of course, for the soon-to-be first ballot Hall of Famer, that includes working on a weekly basis as part of the NFL on FOX’s primary broadcast team with Kevin Burkhardt.
The transition from the football field to the television segment of the sport was a logical one for the greatest player in NFL history. But will he be dipping his toe into another aspect of television? Perhaps sports entertainment?
If the latest beef that just went viral on social media is any indication, he just might be.
Tom Brady slapped WWE star Logan Paul at Fanatics Fest
Brady attended Fanatics Fest this week at the Javits Center in New York City, and he was shown on Friday going face to face with WWE superstar Logan Paul. After a brief exchange, Brady was caught on video slapping Paul in the head. NBA player Karl-Anthony Towns was part of the contingent that stepped between them.
Paul went to Twitter claiming Brady was jawing at him because Paul claims to have beaten Brady at flag football.
However, it certainly appears as though Brady might be trying to find his way into the WWE universe for potentially a match. He said as much at the event on Thursday.
The beef between Brady and Paul has grown since February, when Paul irked Brady by making comments about being as athletic as NFL players by virtue of his efforts in the wrestling ring.
“I am the highest level,” Paul said. “I am the level. Great athlete. Bro, can Saquon Barkley do a flip off the top rope? Have you not seen me moonsault over someone’s head?”
It looks like Brady may have found his angle this week. And Summerslam just happens to be next month, although that would be a quick turnaround.
In any event, it looks like it’s an ongoing feud (real or staged, to be fair) that’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
