There was no missing the Tre’Davious White signing by the Buffalo Bills if you were on social media.
The return of the cornerback was being reported on and talked about everywhere.
However, Bills quarterback Josh Allen missed all of this since he's off of social media.
So, when did he find out that they brought back White?
“I was walking in the locker room today, and I peeked (and saw) him,” Allen told reporters on Tuesday. “I went to the equipment manager, and I was like, ‘Is that Tre White over there? Just making sure.”
White began his career with the Bills, being selected in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. However, after seven seasons, he made the move to the Los Angeles Rams, signing a one-year $4.25 million contract that includes $3.25 million guaranteed. The deal could have been worth $10 million with incentives. He was then traded to the Baltimore Ravens in November.
After the 2024 season, he was once again a free agent and that's when he decided to make his return to Buffalo.
“I feel in place, I feel at home, so for that, I’m forever grateful and I’m so thankful to be back for sure,” White said. "This is the only place I want to be, this is the right way, this is how it’s supposed to be for me.”
“You guys don’t understand how much it meant to me that these guys reached out and thought enough of me to bring me back," he added. “I told my agent, man, look, if you can’t get Buffalo on the line just don’t call me. This is the place I want to be.”
And it's clear that general manager Brandon Beane is also excited to have the former first-rounder back in the building.
“He brings great experience to our team,” Beane explained. “Felt like, if you watch his film, really improved from the start of the year with the Rams to how he played down the stretch. He’s another year off of the injury. So we have a lot of confidence in Tre, but no promises were made. We don’t really do that a lot anyway. We’re, let’s just roll the ball and go. But yeah, we’re pulling for him, and would love nothing more if he wins the starting job. That means we feel good with him.”
