The New York Giants are the biggest question going into the 2025 NFL Draft. And that's because nobody knows which direction they are leaning with the No. 3 overall pick.
The top two draft prospects are considered to be Colorado wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter along with Penn State edge Abdul Carter. And for a while, it seemed that they would go second and third in the draft.
But that might not be the case anymore.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that the Giants plan to hold a private workout with Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders on Thursday.
"The #Giants scouted Shedeur Sanders extensively in practice and games and sent a large contingent to his showcase earlier this month. Now, they're headed back to Boulder one week before the 2025 NFL Draft," Pelissero wrote.
So with this latest report, it opens up the possibility that one of those top two prospects will be available when New England is on the clock with the No. 4 overall pick.
Hunter has been linked to the Patriots in mock drafts throughout the past few weeks, but many now expect him to go to the Cleveland Browns. If that's the case, that leaves Carter for the Giants or the Patriots.
Getting Carter at four would be the ultimate steal.
And it means New England might not be so quick to trade down, which they have said they are interested in. Instead, they could wait to see what New York does before making any moves. Because, do they really want to risk losing out on Carter?
So many questions that will be answered on Thursday, April 24.
