In a month full of recruiting wins, the Oklahoma Sooners hit a slight speed bump with the recent decommitment of 2026 IOL recruit Will Conroy. Conroy was committed to the Sooners for months before flipping to North Carolina.
The Sooners had already moved on prior to his decommitment, working on upgrading and finding new talent to focus their attention on.
One of those prospects was Texas native Devan Robison. Robison received his offer from the Sooners a little over a month ago, but might already be a done deal for Oklahoma.
The Houston blocker is the 66th-ranked IOL in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Schools like Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Houston, Baylor, and TCU have been in pursuit of the talented offensive lineman. With the spot left behind by Conroy, the Sooners have a place open for Robison.
Robison was invited to the Sooners' ChampU BBQ this weekend, and reportedly has been heavily recruited by Ryan Fodje, another Texas native who was part of Oklahoma's 2025 class. This is Robison's first official visit to Oklahoma, and being welcomed the way he has has made an impression on him.
It sounds like Oklahoma is in a pretty strong spot for Robison's commitment. While he hasn't set a date, the feeling out of the Sooners right now is that they might have just closed the deal this weekend to make him part of their fast-growing 2026 recruiting class.
Interestingly enough, Robison also fits the mold of what the Sooners' new staff has been targeting with their recruits. Jim Nagy and Oklahoma's new front office have been pursuing multi-sport athletes in the 2026 class. Robison competed in track and field as a sophomore, posting a 38-4 shot put rep and a 96-0 discus throw.
We'll see when and what Robison's decision will be, but Oklahoma likes their chances here.

Things are starting to fall into place with the Oklahoma Sooners' recruiting class of 2026. With quarterback Bowe Bentley in place, the Sooners are setting a strong foundation for their recruiting class of 2026. One of those targets is local talent Tajh Overton, a four-star defensive tackle from Oklahoma. It seems like the Sooners are […]
