The New Orleans Saints and their fans are ready for the start to the Kellen Moore era. This week, they've gotten some details about the offseason leading to next season.
Saints' offseason schedule details
First Day: April 14
OTA Offseason Workouts: May 20-22, May 27, May 29-30, June 2, June 4-5
Mandatory Minicamp: June 10-12
The details were released via NFL.com.
That start for the Saints is a bit earlier than the rest of the NFC South. The Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will begin activities on April 21, while the Atlanta Falcons will start on April 22.
Earlier this week, head coach Kellen Moore said that the current plan is for the Saints to hold training camp in Metairie. Some joint practices will be in other locations most likely, but a lot of their prep work this summer will be in their own team facility.
That's some good news for fans as well. They may be able to catch some practice that will be open to the public more often than if the Saints were doing more team activities elsewhere.
A full schedule for the offseason activities for the Saints will be revealed in the coming months. That will have a lot more details involved when it comes to location, timing, fan attendance, and other factors.
