The LSU Tigers have had quite an interesting offseason. They have seen a few talented players enter the transfer portal and arguably their best player in Will Campbell choose to enter the NFL Draft. Pair that with losing the number one recruit in quarterback Bryce Underwood and things could certainly be better.

Right tackle Emery Jones Jr. has decided to forego his remaining eligibility and enter the NFL Draft.

On December third, our own Ryan Roberts reported that Jones was "expected" to stay on campus and transition inside.

Unlike Campbell, it appears that we may not have seen the last right tackle Emery Jones Jr. on the college level. The expectation, as of now, is that Jones will use his last year of eligibility and return in 2025. That is tremendous news for LSU, who is set to lose three starting offensive linemen this offseason with the losses of Campbell, Garrett Dellinger, and Miles Frazier.

Losing Jones hurts for the Tigers, as they will now have just one returning offensive lineman. Jones' teammate Will Campbell is expected to go high in the first round, potentially in the top 10. Jones was on track to being in that position, but had a rough season from a technical standpoint.

Jones must have gotten some good feedback from the advisory committee to enter the NFL Draft to make the decision. His size (6-4.5, 319 points), the length (over 34-inch arms) are enough to go in the first round so testing will be crucial for him.
