The Jacksonville Jaguars fell short in Week 15 as they dropped to 3-11 on the year with their loss to the New York Jets.
On the bright side, they saw young pass catchers Brian Thomas Jr. and Brenton Strange end with strong performances. Strange finished with him setting new career highs across the board with 12 targets, 11 receptions, and 73 yards.
Now, the NFL is bringing him back to earth by giving him news he doesn't want to hear just ahead of the holidays.
NFL fines Jaguars TE Brenton Strange
The NFL announced that they have fined Strange $7,720.00 for a leg whip that the league deemed to be "Unnecessary Roughness." For those who don't know, the NFL rulebook describes a leg whip as "using the foot or any part of the leg to strike an opponent with a whipping motion.
The play Strange is being fined for occurred just 31 seconds into the game during the team's 2nd offensive play during a seven-yard run by Travis Etienne. There was no flag thrown on the play by the officiating crew, but the NFL decided action had to be taken.
It's unfortunate for Strange that his career day has to now have a sour taste in his mouth due to this fine. Hopefully, for him and the Jaguars, he can move past it and is able to stack some solid performances to end the season. Because the TE we saw in Week 15 is someone the team will want to make a key part of their future.

Now, they sit at 3-11 and, according to Tankathon, would own the fourth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft if the season ended today. While they may have three games remaining, the fanbase seems to […]
