FOXBOROUGH, Mass – Christian Gonzalez has very high hopes for his alma mater.
It has been an impressive season for the Oregon Ducks, who have not only earned a spot in the College Football Playoffs, but are the top team going in. They earned a first-round bye after finishing with a 13-0 overall record, including 9-0 in conference play, along with a Big 10 Championship.
And on Monday, Gonzalez took a moment to speak about Oregon's accomplishments this year.
"Its cool. It's crazy that we won. We're undefeated. Won a championship," the New England Patriots star cornerback told A to Z Sports. "But we got the hardest path to the championship."
And he's not kidding. While they do have a bye, Oregon will be tasked with playing the winner of No. 8 Ohio State and No. 9 Tennessee. Getting past either of those teams will not be easy.

However, if the Ducks are able to defeat their opponents in the quarterfinals and semifinals, Gonzalez has a plan for that final game on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025.
"Yeah, I talked to Coach Lanning," he stated. "Hopefully they win out so I can go to that National Championship."
So, there is a silver lining to the New England Patriots not making the playoffs. If Oregon makes it, the star cornerback will have no other professional commitments that day.
"If they are there, I'm going to be there."
