The Pittsburgh Steelers may have swung and missed on recently acquired New York Jets WR Davante Adams, but they still have one WR lurking in the shadows.
And sure, the Jets will likely steal the spotlight heading into Sunday after their big addition and despite the Steeler's presumptive QB change, but one return isn't being talked about enough.
That would be pass rusher Alex Highsmith, who practiced in a full capacity for the first time in weeks on Thursday and continued that on Friday, setting up his much needed return vs the New York Jets:

Observations
- OLB Alex Highsmith: Highsmith was still limited on Wednesday, but both he and Mike Tomlin said they were optimistic regarding his availability against the Jets and that looks to be the case following a return to practice in a full capacity on Thursday and Friday
- WR Roman Wilson: After making his NFL debut last week, the rookie pass catcher popped up on Thursday's report with a hamstring. Wilson told reporters he came up lame but that he doesn't expect it to be a lingering issue. On Friday, Roman was limited again and is questionable for Sunday
- RB Najee Harris: Harris was a nonparticipant with a rib injury on Wednesday, but he returned to practice in full on Thursday and Friday, with the team likely being cautious
- RB Cordarrelle Patterson: Still recovering from his ankle injury, Patterson hasn't practiced since the Colts game, and on Wednesday, Patterson was still a nonparticipant, which occurred again on Thursday and Friday, as he is out for the Jets game
- SS Damontae Kazee: Part of the Steelers' big three at safety, Kazee hasn't played or practiced since his pregame injury a few weeks back. On Wednesday, Kazee did not practice, but he did return in a limited capacity on Thursday and on Friday, Kazee was a full participant and is set for Sunday
- TE MyCole Pruitt: Pruitt has been a limited member of the Steelers roster all season as he battled injury and on Wednesday Pruitt returned in a full capacity and was able to do so again on Thursday and Friday, setting up his return against the Jets
- OT Dylan Cook: Cook had yet to play this year following a foot injury but the promising depth piece made his return to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday and Friday but is out for Sunday
- OC Zach Frazier: Frazier is considered week to week with his ankle injury and will be out this week against the Jets
- OLB Nick Herbig: Nick Herbig was ruled out for the Jets game by Mike Tomlin on Tuesday
- Montravius Adams: Adams popped up on Friday’s report and is questionable for Sunday
