The Tennessee Titans selected UCLA wide receiver Kyle Philips with the No. 163 overall pick in the 2022 Draft.
Philips is a 5-foot-11 wide receiver who has been mostly viewed by draft analysts as a special teams contributor.
But Philips could end up being a key contributor to the Titans’ offense.
Just check out what Philips did to Derek Stingley Jr, the No. 3 overall pick by the Houston Texans, last year when UCLA played LSU.
Stingley is the LSU player wearing No. 7 in the video that tried, unsuccessfully, to tackle Philips.
There are plenty of folks, myself included, who felt like Stingley was the best overall player in the draft. If Philips had that kind of success against an elite player, it reasonable to think he could end up being a solid contributor in the NFL.
Philips will also have the pleasure of playing against Stingley twice as a rookie.
The Titans might want to find a way to get Philips involved in the game plan those two weeks.
