The Tennessee Titans could use a bit more depth at pass catcher. They have veteran Robert Woods at the top of the depth chart. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Treylon Burks will get a lot of the other outside reps, and Kyle Philips will start in the slot. After that, there's not much proven talent. They had a workout with Dazz Newsome, a former star WR at North Carolina, on Friday.
Newsome was recently cut by the Chicago Bears. He has had multiple workouts since his release.
He was an exciting receiver and returner at North Carolina. That being said, he struggled in his short stint with the Bears. The Titans may look to ignite the talent that he showed at UNC.
Newsome had 72 receptions for 1018 yards and ten touchdowns in 2019 for North Carolina. In 2020, he took a small step back with 54 catches for 684 yards and six touchdowns.
