The Atlanta Falcons have had a super busy Wild Card Weekend as they searched for their next head coach.

Atlanta interviewed three head coach candidates on Friday and Saturday: Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald, Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, and San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks.

They wrapped up two more interviews on Sunday with Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero and Ravens defensive line coach and associate head coach Anthony Weaver.

The Falcons saved Monday's availability to interview legendary New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick in person.

According to NFL Networks Tom Pelissero, no deal has been made between the two parties but there is a "mutual" interest.

Belichick and the Patriots split just a few days ago after 24 seasons together.

A man who needs no introduction, Belichick comes with a resume that includes 17 AFC East titles, nine AFC Championship wins and six Super Bowl rings — including an infamous SBLII win over the Falcons.

The Falcons' biggest question heading into the offseason is a quarterback that can lead and breathe life into Atlanta's offensive weapons. Is that too much work for 71-year-old Belichick? Possibly. But maybe not if they acquire a veteran passer.

Belichick is also rumored to reunite with Josh McDaniels wherever he goes.

That means McDaniels, an offensive mind, would complement Belichick's defensive mind.
