Lamar Jackson put on a show in the Baltimore Ravens’ 34-10 win over the Houston Texans in the AFC divisional round.
The Texans failed to contain Jackson on the ground. Jackson wound up tallying 100 rushing yards to go along with a pair of rushing scores in the contest. The sixth-year passer managed to reach such stats against a Texans defense that capped off regular season play by ranking sixth in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game (96.6).
As noted by StatMuse, Jackson logged at least 100 rushing yards in a playoff game for the third time in his career, which extended his own record for the most such games by a quarterback. All other quarterbacks in NFL history have combined to record four such games.
Jackson’s two other playoff outings with at least 100 rushing yards have come against the Tennessee Titans. He rushed for 143 yards in the Ravens’ AFC divisional round defeat to the Titans in the 2019 season, and he then recorded 136 rushing yards in Baltimore’s AFC wild-card round win over Tennessee in the 2020 campaign.
Jackson is now set to play in the AFC title game for the first time in his career. Jackson and the Ravens will meet either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Buffalo Bills in the 2024 AFC Championship Game.
