Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is hopeful that Marlon Humphrey will make his return to action against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Humphrey was sidelined from Baltimore’s home clash with the Cincinnati Bengals. The veteran cornerback suffered a non-contact calf injury in the week prior against the Cleveland Browns.

Humphrey was initially listed as doubtful to play in Week 11, which came after he did not feature in a single practice session last week. The Ravens ultimately ruled him out against Cincinnati.

Harbaugh aspires to see Humphrey be cleared to play against the Chargers.

"Marlon hopefully will be back out there this week," Harbaugh said during a press conference on Monday. "We’ll see, but we have kind of a deep corner group, and they all want to play."

Brandon Stephens' standout season

If Baltimore ends up ruling out Humphrey for Week 12, then Brandon Stephens is expected to be called on to cover Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen in the contest. Stephens is just coming off of a formidable performance in the Ravens’ win over the Bengals where he helped hold wideout Ja’Marr Chase to a mere two receptions.

Stephens has allowed just one touchdown catch in coverage this season.
