The Baltimore Ravens did not cruise to a win in Week 8 as was the case in their home matchup against the Detroit Lions. Nonetheless, they ended up stringing together a three-game winning streak for the first time this season following their 31-24 road victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
From the 4.5 yards per rush attempt average to the pair of takeaways, the Ravens managed to have the last laugh over Arizona in Week 8.
The Ravens are one of four teams in the AFC that boast a record of 6-2. They currently hold the No. 4 seed in the conference and sit in first place in the AFC North standings.
Ravens tight end Mark Andrews is not keeping a close watch on the standings at this point in the season. Even as the Ravens have had much to go their way as of late, Andrews recognizes that the team is "never satisfied."
“This team is special, and I think anybody that watches our games can see that,” Andrews said during his postgame press conference. "The caliber of players at every position that we have is special, and that includes the coaching staff. So, we’re never satisfied, this is just the beginning.
“The last three weeks, we’ve been turning that leaf over and getting better and better. So, for us, just continuing to work, focusing on ourselves, tune out all the outside noise. That doesn’t matter to us, we’re just worried about ourselves and getting better."
Baltimore will look to make it four wins in a row when it meets the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9.
