Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers has reached multiple impressive feats in his ongoing rookie campaign, and he has a realistic chance to once again do just that this year.

Flowers did not necessarily instill fear in the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8. Flowers was targeted seven times by Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson on Sunday, and he recorded five receptions for a mere 19 receiving yards. He also posted a season-low 3.8 yards per reception average in the contest.

Nonetheless, Flowers remains on pace to once again etch his name in NFL history.

As it stands, Flowers is on track to become the eighth wideout ever to notch at least 90 receptions in his rookie campaign. The former Boston College standout is currently on pace to log 93.5 receptions this season, which would set a new record for the most catches by a rookie in Ravens team history.

Miami Dolphins wideout Jaylen Waddle holds the record for the most receptions in a season by a rookie. The speedy receiver hauled in an astounding 104 catches in his debut season in the 2021 campaign.

Flowers may not be the odds favorite to win the 2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award, but he is at the least among the serious contenders for the honor.
