Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers has a mere 11 games of experience in the NFL and yet, he has already impressed multiple current and former wideouts, including Steve Smith Sr.
During the NFL Network’s pregame coverage of the Ravens’ Week 11 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, Smith took some time to give his stamp of approval to Flowers.
"When I look at Zay Flowers and some of the other guys, Puka Nacua, I call them a 'JAB,'" Smith said. "Just a beast."
Flowers had a productive outing in the first primetime game of his career. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson targeted Flowers a total of four times against the Bengals, and the rookie wideout recorded three receptions for 43 receiving yards.
Flowers helped to set the tone for the divisional contest with a 33-yard catch in the first quarter.
Overall, Flowers ranks second in receptions (53) and third in receiving yards (588) among rookie wide receivers this season.
Flowers and the Ravens are now looking ahead to a road matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 12. Baltimore will enter Week 12 sitting in first place in the AFC North standings with an 8-3 record.
