Zay Flowers has broken a few records in his ongoing first season with the Baltimore Ravens, and he once again did just that in Week 11.

Flowers entered the Ravens’ home matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals in need of a mere one catch to shatter the team record for receptions by a rookie in a season. It did not take long for the former Boston College standout to break the record, as he hauled in the 51st catch of his rookie campaign on Baltimore’s opening drive of the divisional game.

Flowers made it look quite easy on his record-breaking 33-yard reception during the early stages of the first quarter.

Former Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith was the previous holder of this record. Smith logged 50 receptions in his rookie year in the 2011 season. He caught 213 passes over his four-year run with the AFC North powerhouse.

Flowers is continuing to bolster his resume for the 2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award. He currently leads the Ravens in multiple stats this season, including in receptions (53).

The Ravens wound up clinching a 34-20 win over the Bengals in Week 11. Flowers tallied three catches for 43 receiving yards in the contest.
