Baltimore Ravens very well could be adding a piece to the defense very soon.
Free agent linebacker Kyle Van Noy is visiting the Ravens for a second time due to injuries at outside linebacker for the team. Tyus Bowser is yet to play this season and Odafe Oweh didn’t play in Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts due to an ankle injury.
David Ojabo left against the Colts with an ankle injury, too. Van Noy first visited the Ravens back in July and a deal seems more likely with this being his second visit.
Throughout his career, Van Noy has been a solid secondary pass rusher. The veteran had at least five sacks in five of the last six seasons. Last season, Van Noy was with the Los Angeles Chargers and was with the New England Patriots five of the six previous seasons.
Van Noy, 32, would give the Ravens an acceptable edge player when called upon. And if he is signed, it looks like he could be called on right away.
In Week 4, the Ravens will travel to Cleveland to face off with the Browns in a battle of the 2-1 teams. If the veteran is signed soon, he very well could be ready for the AFC North matchup.
