Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has made life difficult for multiple opposing defenses this season.
Jackson was last in action in Week 14 when he won the duel against Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams’ front seven. Jackson regularly evaded pressure with ease and also had the last laugh over Donald. The veteran defensive tackle did not tally a single sack or quarterback hit in the contest.
The Ravens are now set to meet a Jacksonville Jaguars front seven in Week 15 that is led by outside linebacker Josh Allen. Jaguars defensive coordinator Mike Caldwell is aiming to see Allen and company not let Jackson have his way on Sunday.
"That’s the thing, we have to rush him, we have to pressure him because we don’t want him sitting back there," Caldwell said during a press conference ahead of Week 15. "He’s a guy that in the pocket can hurt you as well as outside the pocket. We have a plan and we’ll try to execute that plan. At the end of the day, we have to be who we are.
"We have to affect the quarterback and it didn’t work as well as we wanted it to last week, so we get another opportunity for the guys to come out and go ahead and execute the plan, let’s get after the quarterback."
The Jaguars currently rank in the bottom half of the NFL in total sacks with 27.
The Ravens head into Week 15 holding the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a 10-3 record.
