The New Orleans Saints have had plenty of quarterback drama this season. Derek Carr is not getting the job done, and there's plenty of clamoring for Jameis Winston.
Winston, even as the backup, clearly has a role on the Saints, regardless. On a weekly basis, video arises of his emotional leadership characteristics. That's the case once again after Week 12.

That being said, it is fair to think that Winston could open up the offense a bit more at times. With the same notion, Winston is also the farthest concept from a 'sure thing' at QB. He plays with some recklessness. He possesses a cannon arm and good chemistry with pass catchers.
There are pros and cons to both starters for New Orleans, but it is noteworthy that Winston remains ultra-involved with his teammates even as the Saints backup.
