Has their offense become too predictable?
An anonymous Eagles player thinks so.
"We are very predictable… Look at our pass routes compared to the Cowboys pass routes," the no-name player told JAKIB Sports host Derrick Gunn. "Our pass routes take too long to develop. Dallas gets their (bleep) out real quick."
The Eagles had three turnovers against Dallas which puts them at 19 on the season so far, already tying last year's total.
If you ask Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni what he thinks about his offense, he isn't buying into the anonymous 'predictable offense' report, but he does plan to fix it.
"We obviously don't think so as coaches will," Sirianni said on Tuesday. "We will continue to work on making sure that we're meshing things together that, you know, 'Hey, this looks like that,' so there's not a beat on anything. Or, you know, this marries to that, and the defense can't get a beat on that. Because if they do, they're gonna get beat on this. So, we'll work like crazy on that."
Sirianni continued his response by explaining the importance of mixing things up.
"There's different things that you want to do,' he said. "There's times you want to get the ball out fast. There's times where you want to push the ball down the field. There's times where you want to get chunks by throwing it underneath. There's times you want to get chunks by throwing it over top. There's times you want to get chunks by throwing it intermediate. And so all things are true.
"You can't be predictable on anything you do. You know, and so, like I said, we're working like crazy to complement our plays, s there is nothing. But you know, we'll look at everything. And we're doing our self-scouts, which we get every single week, to make sure we're not predictable and, and doing different things to hit all levels of the field."
Sirianni also said he has no plans to change up play-calling duties and expressed 'total confidence' in his offense coordinator Brian Johnson and defensive coordinator Sean Desai.
The Eagles' next test is another road match against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.
