The steal of the 2023 NFL Draft looks to have already been crowned and he plays for the Los Angeles Rams.
Puka Nacua joined some elite names after the Rams Week 16 win over the New Orleans Saints. Nacua joined Justin Jefferson and Odell Beckham Jr. amongst the most 100-yard games as a rookie. Just one more 100-yard receiving game will tie Nacua at seven, which will tie the former All-Pro receivers.
Nacua’s best game yet potentially came against the Saints and he caught nine passes for 164 yards and a score. The sixth 100-yard game for the rookie phenom put him over 1,300 yards receiving on the season. Nacua has five touchdowns on the season and even more impressive is that he’s split a lot of targets with Cooper Kupp this season.
The fifth-round steal hit the ground running in the NFL and has become one of the better weapons in the game. With two regular season games left for the Rams, there is a great chance that Nacua clears 1,500 yards.
Joining the names of Jefferson and Beckham, who were both elite in the NFL right away, is a nice start to Nacua’s career. You know you are doing something right when mentioned with names like those.
It also helps when you’re being thrown to by Matthew Stafford, a quarterback who has helped his wideouts have some pretty big seasons over the years.
