The Detroit Lions are going prime time once again this Saturday when they head to Jerry World to take on the Cowboys. This is big game for sure. The top seed in the NFC is still possible and the Lions need to beat the Cowboys to continue to make it possible. Here's their final injury report of the week:
- C.J. Gardner-Johnson-OUT
- James Houston: OUT
- Brock Wright: OUT
- Cam Sutton: Questionable:
Surprisingly Gardner-Johnson will not be playing on Saturday. It's not really known as to why the Lions are deciding to push off his return, but Lions head coach Dan Campbell did say this early Thursday:
“No, look, he’s even better than last week. He’s looking pretty good, and this is just another chance to get him going. We’ll – (Lions Executive Vice President and General Manager) Brad (Holmes) and I will talk about it after we get done today. He’ll be out there practicing again.”
Looks like the Lions plan to be precautionary with him. As for Cameron Sutton, he popped on to the injury report today with a toe injury. He did not practice on Thursday. We'll keep an eye on that one and update you as soon as we know.
As for the Cowboys, here's what their designations are this week:
- Rico Dowdle: OUT
- Jonathan Hankins: OUT
- Tyron Smith: Questionable
- Villiami Fehoko: Questionable
Tyron Smith is the big name to remembers here. He's one of the top tackles in the NFL and he can't go, that will be an advantage for the Lions and their pass rush. We'll see what happens on Saturday when inactives come out.

Gardner-Johnson, Jason Cabinda, James Houston and Alim McNeil. The Lions made some moves on Thursday to start opening up those spots. Here's what they did: Waived Chase Lucas […]
