The New Orleans Saints had plenty of positives in Week 17 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 

Their defense dominated a surging Buccaneers offense. The offense made plays in the first three quarters to control the game and the clock. Derek Carr was efficient and took care of the football.

Unfortunately, one of their best players suffered an injury that may keep him out of an important Week 18 win against the Atlanta Falcons.

According to Saints head coach Dennis Allen, running back Alvin Kamara suffered an ankle sprain.

The severity of the injury is unknown. He will undergo tests on Monday. 

Additionally, Saints offensive tackle Landon Young re-injured the knee he hurt before the season began. It's not believed to require surgery, though. Hopefully, he escaped major injury.

Linebacker Nephi Sewell is feared to have suffered a serious knee injury. It was a non-contact injury, and he was carted off the field. 

The Saints need Kamara to play in Week 18, but they also cannot risk further injury for him. Their offense looks much different with him in the ball game.
