Multiple Baltimore Ravens players did not practice on Thursday, including Zay Flowers.

Flowers sat out a second consecutive practice session due to his nagging calf injury, which he suffered during the Ravens’ road win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Flowers ended up taking part in just one out of Baltimore’s practice sessions last week. The first-year wideout was a limited participant in practice last Friday, which played into the Ravens’ final call to list him as questionable for their home game against the Miami Dolphins. The former Boston College standout went on to play against Miami, and he tallied three catches for a career-high 106 receiving yards in the contest.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh made clear on Wednesday that while Flowers has been putting together potent performances as of late, it still is crucial for the rookie to be a regular in practice.

"Zay has been dealing with that issue and hasn't been able to practice, but still played well," Harbaugh said. "But that's not something you want to have to have happen too much. He needs practice, so hopefully, he'll be able to get out there and practice tomorrow and Friday, that's our hope."

If Flowers ends up being ruled out from the Ravens’ upcoming home matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, then the likes of Nelson Agholor and Rashod Bateman sure will be called on to step up in his absence.
