The "Monday Night Football" encounter between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers featured two quarterbacks who entered the game being deemed by many as the top two contenders for the 2023 NFL MVP award. In the end, it was Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson who watched as his odds for the NFL MVP honor skyrocketed.

According to the FanDuel Sportsbook, Jackson now boasts the best odds (-170) to win the league’s most prestigious individual award. The sixth-year passer led the way in Baltimore’s 33-19 victory over the 49ers, as he tallied 297 total yards and two touchdown passes.

49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is now tied with Buffalo Bills passer Josh Allen for the fourth-best odds (+1300) to take home the NFL MVP honor. Purdy had a game to forget against the Ravens, as he threw a career-high four interceptions. On the other hand, 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, who currently has the second-best odds (+450) to win the NFL MVP award, recorded 131 yards from scrimmage in the contest.

Jackson is set to have yet another golden opportunity to boost his odds for the NFL MVP award, as the Ravens will host the Miami Dolphins in Week 17. A win for Baltimore over Miami would officially clinch it the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Jackson has logged 24 total touchdowns and a 97.2 passer rating this season.
