Lamar Jackson led the way in the Baltimore Ravens’ Week 6 win against the Tennessee Titans. Jackson did not fill up the stat sheet with video game-like numbers in the contest, but he did what he needed to do to help Baltimore move to a 4-2 record.
Jackson recorded 223 passing yards, one touchdown pass, and an 88.6 passer rating against Tennessee. The two-time Pro Bowler also added another dimension to Baltimore’s rush offense, tallying 13 rushing attempts for 62 yards.
With his formidable performance against the AFC South side, Jackson’s odds for this season’s NFL MVP award improved quite a bit. He currently holds the sixth-best odds (+1400) to win the NFL MVP honor, which is up from last week (+2000).
As it stands, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is the betting favorite to take home the NFL MVP award. His odds for the honor sit at +330, which comes on the heels of a promising showing in the Dolphins’ 42-21 win over the Carolina Panthers. He logged 262 passing yards and three passing touchdowns in Miami’s fifth win of its season.
On Jackson’s part, he will have a crucial test coming up in the Ravens’ Week 7 home matchup against the Detroit Lions. The current NFC North leaders have allowed a 79.6 passer rating so far this season.
Ravens’ Lamar Jackson is inching closer to shattering an impressive Michael Vick record
Would be quite a feat.
