Los Angeles Chargers star running back Austin Ekeler was caught in the middle of a brawl that broke out at Sofi Stadium prior to Monday Night Football.

The Dallas Cowboys and Chargers got into it, with shoving and punches thrown about 30 minutes prior to the game.

And Ekeler, who is returned to the field after missing the last three games, was punched so hard that his helmet was knocked off.

This was the second pregame fight that occurred during this past weekend's slate, with the San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns also getting into it prior to their game on Sunday. And now the Cowboys and Charges have had a scuffle of their own.

While the Chargers are coming off a bye week, the Cowboys are looking to get a win after an embarrassing loss to the 49ers last week.

There is also some additional tension between the two teams due to Kellen Moore. He is currently the Chargers offensive coordinator, having left the Dallas Cowboys after the 2022 season to move to sunny Los Angeles. He also played with the Cowboys from 2015 to 2017 before joining the coaching staff as the quarterbacks coach in 2018.

With that brawl having happened, both teams will be playing with an additional chip on their shoulder. And that includes Ekeler.
