Who's playing?

Jared Goff will not play Thursday and most of the starters will join him per Lions' head coach Dan Campbell. Some of the younger starters could see the field though. Last year the Lions played all of their rookies in the first game and we'll probably see that in this game too.

Three players to watch

  • Hendon Hooker: This will be Hooker's NFL debut and he's expected to play much of the game. There's a chance we'll see Nate Sudfeld first and then see Hooker play the rest of the game.
  • Daurice Fountain: He has a really big chance to nail down the third receiver spot this summer and going out there to have a big game is going to be a big part of that.
  • James Houston: This will be a good time to see if Houston's new moves are paying off and if he's added another element to his game.
