This really sucks to write. Last Friday we wrote about how wrong we were about Emmanuel Mosely being able to overcome two torn ACL's and how he was looking really good in camp. Now it looks like an injury is going to keep Moseley out for a long time again.
A torn pectoral muscle is no joke. we just watched C.J. Gardner-Johnson go through the same thing in Week 2 of last season and he wasn't able to come back until late in the year. Even then it was considered remarkable that his recovery went as fast as it did and it mostly did that because of how clean the tear was.
We don't know anything about Moseley's injury at this time other than the fact that he will be out indefinitely. You hope he can come back during the season, but we'll see.
This one is particularly heartbreaking becasue it meant a lot to Mosely that the Lions gave him this chance and he was doing so well.
Moseley was expected to make the Lions' 53-man roster and play a big role off the bench for the Lions this year. Now that he's going to be out, that will open a door for guys like Kindle Vildor and Khalil Dorsey to step up and have bigger roles. The Lions secondary is in pretty good shape to handle this loss.
