Planning for Tennessee Volunteer football games is something many fans do in advance.  After all, you have to figure out when you're heading to Knoxville and setting up camp near Neyland Stadium.

Tennessee fans can now do that for the first three games of the season after Thursday.  The school's kickoff times for their games against Chattanooga, NC State, and Kent State have all been announced.

There's often two lines of thought when it comes to game times and planning.  Some fans like to have the game early so they can get to other stuff later in the day.  Whether that's more drinking, watching other football, or simply getting back home. The 12:45 pm kickoff against Chattanooga will satisfy that bunch.

Others prefer more time for more pre-game drinks, food, and time with friends at the tailgate.  Night games often provide for a respite from harsh the harsh late summer heat and sun.  That will be something that fans will be able to enjoy on September 14 against Kent State.  The 7:30 pm ET NC State kickoff was announced earlier in the offseason.

As such, Tennessee fans can now start planning their trips and tailgates ahead of what they expect will be a strong start to Josh Heupel's fourth season in Knoxville.
