Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy's stock has steadily risen ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft as he's only continued to garner attention for what he brings to the table from both a tangibles and an intangibles perspective.

According to a recently leaked report from an NFL scout's assessment of McCarthy, the Michigan quarterback had a supposedly strong message for Wolverines recruits that should resonate well with those looking into drafting him at the next level.

"Before he signed, he was telling other Michigan recruits that if they wanted to party and chase girls, go somewhere else," the report ready under the column of strengths. "His class was going to be the one that restored Michigan. To have that mentality and then actually go achieve it? He's different."

He was also recognized for his strength of mental preparation in the same report as McCarthy meditates before games and also does yoga to keep his head clear. That's obviously translated well into his performances as he ranks No. 4 in school history in passing touchdowns (49) and No. 6 in passing yards (6,226), despite Michigan's affinity for running the football.

Here's a look at the complete report via X (formerly known as Twitter):

McCarthy currently projects as an early first-round prospect in a 2024 NFL Draft that could see several quarterbacks come off the board sooner rather than later.

Despite the "game manager" label that has been pinned to him so many times, McCarthy has a high ceiling and can exceed simply executing an offense with his superb athleticism and arm strength that will continue to be assets to him.

It will be interesting to see where McCarthy lands when the draft gets underway on April 25, now less than two weeks away.
