Steelers Agree to 2-Year, $6M Contract with Cordarrelle Patterson
First reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Steelers' signing of Patterson checks plenty of boxes given familiarity and recency.
Patterson played the best football of his career in Atlanta where newly hired OC Arthur Smith was the head coach during their time with the Falcons.
Utilized as much more than a returner, Patterson recorded nearly 1,500 rushing yards and 14 TDs as a RB for the team, on top of a prestigious return resume that includes four Pro Bowls, being named a four-time first-team All-Pro, and being named as a member of the Hall of Fame 2010's team.
As reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Pittsburgh has acquired the stud returner for a mere $6 million spread across two years and likely done in cap-friendly fashion if we know anything about Omar Khan.
An excellent signing all around.
